Dreyers Ice Cream: Conefactory

An interactive web site created for Dreyers Ice Cream allows kids to run their own ice cream factory. By creating custom ice cream flavors from over 50 different ingredients ranging from delicious to diabolical, kids can earn "cone cash"—a make believe currency that allows them to be eligible for weekly, monthly, and yearly prizes.

After imaginative brainstorming with the creative team at Zipatoni, we devised a fun and effective way to promote the newly re-launched Dreyers site by adding this addicting game. It would keep kids coming back daily to create new flavors, to see how their past flavors did, and to explore the Dreyers site for tips on how to make the most effective ice cream while increasing their chances of winning prizes. Using Macromedia Flash and powerful actionscripting, I created the front end interface to communicate with ASP scripts written by Zipatoni that kept track of each users progress in the game. After a quick turn around of 2 months we launched the site and the game with exceptional success.
