Belloq

Album Description
Belloq was a one time side-project comprised of members of The Mouse that Roared and Minmae during the winter of 2002. While recording songs for Minmae's "True Love" LP, members gathered for a weekend in the Kelly Haus to record this 6 song LP of progressive psych pop tinged dirges. With songs clocking in at an average 7 minutes a pop, Sean Brooks croons over improv melodies laid down by the Mouse that Roared and then later sweetened with overproduced brass sections and tape loops assembled by Clositer Maximus III. It should be noted that this record is the first time the Moniker "Sir Cloister Maximus III" is used. It is also the single most interesting side-project I've been a part of. Too bad it was short lived and has little chance of occurring again. The opening track, "The Killer, This Time, Isn't Me" is also available on a Death Bomb Arc compilation CD that came out in 2005.
