Snow Training
Posted January 25, 2010 by Stephen Kozik
After spending the weekend installing Snow Leopard and re-installing all of my apps, I think my system is finally back up to a usable state. In addition to 10.6, I also upgraded my version of Logic, Final Cut, and Creative Suite. Logic was the only upgrade I was actually looking forward to as the prospect of Vari-speed and multiple takes on one track were pretty enticing. I plan on trying the new Logic out on re-mastering an old recording like "Trans-oceanic" and then doing some fresh recordings on my up coming vacation. One would imagine Dark Horse III is on it's way.
The off season training is going well so far, although I have yet to hit the pool. I was planning on going for the first swim of 2010 on Friday, but I was feeling lazy and hadn't fully recovered from a set of leg presses a few days before. From what I remember, the first swim really kicked my ass last year so I want to try to ease into it a bit more this time. My jogs are getting less wind inducing and I'm up to three sets of 20 reps on the free weights, so as long as I can keep at it I should be back into shape by April and start tearing the cover off the ball again.
Things are slow at the moment as one would expect in the middle of January. Looking forward to getting out of the winter and back into warmer, and less wet, weather.
